Rocheport I-70 Missouri River Crossing

I thought the old bridge was neat. I liked the cantilever design.  Sad to see it gone.
Every day is a winding road, you just got to get used to it.

Before this bridge was built, you had to cross the Missouri at Boonville with US-40. There used to be traffic backups in Boonville waiting to cross.

I drove over the new Rocheport Bridge this past weekend. At least on the WB side that was taking all traffic.

Still putting down rebar and other work on the new EB side. With bad snow and cold present, it appeared they have locked it up until after the holidays.

Ribbon cutting for the new Rocheport I-70 Bridge is today. Everything was covered with snow when I drove through so I guess I misjudged the amount of work left, but there was a pile of rebar sitting at the end, it must have been extras.
