Old I-5 Photos in Orange County

All the pre-1964 photos of the Santa Ana Freeway have to also be noted as being part of US 101 at the time.  Don't know if there are any 101 shields hiding in those pics though...

By the way, anybody notice the gas prices at that Mobil station in the El Toro Rd/Rockfield Blvd. picture?

Those are awesome! Thanks for posting those!  4-lane freeways? In Orange County??! Whaaat?! :-)

Those gas prices in the last photo were great. 57.9 and 61.9.  I think we're not too far off from sliding those decimal places one spot to the left....

Yea, IIRC, it was called 'Orange County' because of all of the orange groves that once covered wide swaths of it.
