Interesting that the locomotive used on the train station shield is a unit that hasn't been used in over five decades. The train power depicted is an A Unit Locomotive and is been out of service since the early 60's.

The sign in the photo was just installed at a brand new roundabout in Lakeland, FL.

I always thought those shields contained diesel freight locomotives, with the exception of those used for Long Island Rail Road and Metro-North stations, which use Budd M1's and M1A's respectively.

Huh, the more you know. Most of my Michigan driving has been in more rural areas, so I hadn't seen that before.
