It's all fun & games until someone summons Cthulhu and brings about the end of the world.

I also collect traffic lights, road signs, fans, and railroad crossing equipment.

Next time pick the best one of each bunch.

The worst thing about those signs is that the speed limit was 15mph. Some people can run faster than that.

Usain Bolt went as high as 27.8 MPH.

I'm always amazed when someone goes through the trouble of custom designing/producing a sign that turns out to be non-compliant with MUTCD when a standard compliant sign exists and can be produced with less effort.

It doesn't stop whatever sign shop from manufacturing  hundreds of them incorrectly in the first place. These "S0UTH" banners are randomly all over the state:

Some Alabama jurisdictions have consistent signage, others have their own sign shops; accurately mass-producing but and just winging it with limited regard for precision.

My guess is that the contractors or local shops just do it a little cheaper and it's ready sooner than waiting around for ALDOT and that eases budgetary concerns...99% of the public never cares.

Not gonna lie, the mixed cap "North" doesn't irk me.

Yeah, actually, it looks fairly sharp. It's wrong, yes, but it's not unappealing.

I don't hate it either, but it certainly fits the thread title.

Bruh. Why so much green space on the sign? The advance signage is like this too!

For some reason Houston suburbs cannot make a properly spec'd speed limit sign:
