Cloudy and 62 here, but I will be going down to NW Arkansas later today and tomorrow when I go floating, it will be 74 and mostly sunny.

We're supposed to get our first measurable rain in over a month tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it.

Are you referring to SLC or ATL? I see both locations mentioned on your profile.

Has to be SLC, there's just no way it hasn't rained in over a month in the rainy season in Atlanta.

Yep, Salt Lake. The sun is out this morning (ugh) but showers are supposed to fill in by this afternoon. At least the wind has stopped - I-80 actually had to close between Wendover and SR 36 yesterday, after multiple semi-trucks tipped over in strong crosswinds gusting almost to 80 mph.

SEWIGuy

Four inches of rain the last three days.  Today starts a stretch of low 70s during the day / low 50s at night.  Perfect weather!

Before this week, Atlanta had had only one day of non-negligible rain in about 3 1/2 weeks. January-March was the real rainy season.

We have had rain the last two nights, though. Staying cloudy and cool today, not likely to get out of the mid-60s.

Mid 60s and overcast. It rained a lot here last week and likely will again later this week. Most of the month has been overcast.

So, today was the day. We get a day like this every year usually around mid-May when all the leaves come out, everything's in full bloom, the sun comes out, the sky is blue and cloudless, temps are approaching 70 by mid-afternoon with a beautiful light breeze... then, and only then can it be said that spring is here. The real deal... at long last!!

I will now rant about how unpredictable the weather in the Ozarks is...

So... weather.gov predicts mostly cloudy for the night I will be stargazing in N. Central AR. Hooray, the clouds part, and I got to see the milky way and a few shooting stars.
I wake up the next morning, excited to flat part of the Buffalo River. Its 15 degrees colder than forecasted, and very cloudy & foggy, as opposed to Mostly Sunny forecasted. It's hard to see where to go in the top of the Boston Mountains in that fog. So we cancel our trip. Literally 30 minutes later, the sky was more like this:

So instead we hiked to a nearby 80 foot waterfall.

Last weekend (Monday was a holiday in Canada) was a bit of a dud, with only Saturday being sunny. Tuesday through today have all been great sunny days with highs in the 20's C. Today will reach 26C (79F), so summer seems to have arrived! And to think a few weeks ago it was snowing! :pan:

I went to Long Point provincial park last Saturday since the provincial parks just opened up and the beach was pretty quiet, so I might go back today and bring my swimsuit (though Lake Erie will still be cold!)

That came through at 4 am today (the 23rd) for STL. I mostly slept through it.

I always quite enjoy Ontario's side of the Lake Erie shore. Never been to Long Point, although family friends have raved about nearby Turkey Point.

High 50s and sunny.

Seriously? It was almost 85 here today. There's not usually that big a difference, and when there is, it's more likely in the opposite direction.

Apparently it will be 107-109F in Fresno on Wednesday/Thursday.  I want to say that's the hottest forecast I've seen since I've lived here.  Over 100 is common in the summer but kind of odd for May.

US 89

Looks like you're going to get the same heat wave that's supposed to hit Utah at the end of this week. Based on the latest forecast, Salt Lake will be 96 on Friday and 97 on Saturday - not sure I've ever seen temperatures that high in May before. And it just snowed this past weekend!

I can't complain too much though, because areas farther southwest are going to be approaching 110 degrees. Most of the Desert Southwest and Central Valley is under an excessive heat warning.
