As originally configured the surface alignments of US Route 101 and California State Route 41 converged in downtown Paso Robles.  US Route 101 originally was aligned through Paso Robles via Spring Street.  California State Route 41 entered the City of Paso Robles via Union Road and 13th Street where it intersected US Route 101 at Spring Street.  US Route 101 and California State Route 41 departed Paso Robles southbound via a multiplex which split near Templeton.

The alignments of US Route 101 and California State Route 41 would stay static until 1958.  California State Route 41 was realigned onto a new expressway alignment via 24th Street which was also briefly joined by US Route 466.  US Route 101, California State Route 41 and US Route 466 would be realigned during November 1958 onto the Paso Robles Bypass.  US Route 466 was truncated to Baker during June of 1964 and California State Route 41 in Paso Robles would be replaced by California State Route 46 during the 1964 State Highway Renumbering.

Any idea when 41 was moved off of the original 13th street alignment onto the current 24th street one?

Some time in 1958, no later than June according the DOH letter to the AASHO requesting a reroute of US 466.
