Milemarkers on NJ 122 predate Route 122?

Considering NJ 122 was formerly US 22 ALT, do these look like they were 122's?

This is the 1 Mile Marker on 122:



This is the official eastern terminus a short distance earlier.

The milemarker looks to be of NJ 122's.  I think you may have misplaced the terminus; 122 ends at Pursel Street, approx. one mile up from the sign. I guess Warren County just got a little jumpy with the placement of their CR signs.

FWIW, the Mile 0 signs were there back in 2001. I don't recall seeing those CR signs back then.
