Federal Route Sixty-Nine

Is US Ninety cosigned with IH-10 anywhere in Houston? By US Ninety I mean Federal Route Ninety.

Thanks.

At least eastbound, the last 90 sign I know of is along 90 before it joins I-10 in Katy. Interestingly, it's not even signed where it splits west of Katy from I-10. As far as I know, this is the easternmost US-90 sign along I-10 before Houston

just after the FM 1458 interchange.

90 isn't mentioned again from I-10 until this sign

At least that was the case when I drove it in May '11

Due to 90A being through town, they don't really sign US90 with its cosigning of I-10. Anything in Katy, Barker, Cypress, or Houston isn't signed until the US90 split off to the Crosby highway.

How do you know that is the reason?

By the way, we call it US 90. "Federal Route" means federally maintained, which only happens in parks.

Sorry about the nomenclature. I meant Federal Route 90, not US 90. Thanks for the correction.

Hi blawp.
That sounds about right.

I'm going to go out on a limb here. Blawp, assuming we got you pegged - if you promise to behave, I personally am willing to give you a second chance. But I can't vouch for the rest of the mod team. And if you don't behave, we'll be quick to act.

For a second there, I thought that Carl Rogers had infiltrated this board. He was one of the major reasons I ditched MTR. (Well, that, and the racist smack from Randy Hersh.)

BTW...US 90 in Houston is hidden within I-10 from Katy to the I-610 East interchange, where it shifts to the new Crosby Freeway alignment. Before then, it followed I-610 North to what was Beaumont Highway.

All right. Thanks for the second chance. I'll behave.

Luckily, we don't have to consider what to do with Randy. Carl Rogers is welcome here, but he has to play nice. Continued link spam would not work, and that's his modus operandi.
