Greetings!

I've been interested in roads and signs since I was a little kid. I discovered this forum a while ago and decided to join. I'm somewhat active in the Portuguese SkyscraperCity forums and like discussing highways (and transit) there, I'll be looking forward to doing so here as well.

It's all fun & games until someone summons Cthulhu and brings about the end of the world.

I also collect traffic lights, road signs, fans, and railroad crossing equipment.

Where in Portugal are you from? I've spent a good amount of time in Lisbon, Porto, and on Madeira.

I'm from the Lisbon region. Curiously I've been to Porto proper (outside of a car, that is; I've been through the VCI ring road several times), although I've done a couple of vacations to the North near Porto.

Bem-vindo! I'm from neighboring Spain, and I spent some days in Lisbon in August. I'm also in Skyscrapercity, mainly in the Aragon section (as I'm from that region) but also in the Highways and Autobahns section.
Supporter of the construction of several running gags, including I-366 with a speed limit of 85 mph (137 km/h) and the Hypotenuse.

Please note that I may mention "invalid" FM channels, i.e. ending in an even number or down to 87.5. These are valid in Europe.

Haven't been to Lisbon in almost 20 years.  Distinctly remember riding the Lisbon Metro to a large shopping mall with several other sailors from my ship so we could get our laundry done.

Not that everyone really needed to know that...:D

Was it Colombo? It is huge (at least for Portuguese standards, not sure how big american ones are) and has a metro station in it. Haven't been there in a while though.

I want to say it was El Corte Inglés, but it was over 20 years ago so I'm not 100%.

Makes sense considering El Corte Inglés is closer to the cruise terminal, whereas Colombo is on the other side of Lisbon.
