This project was poised to finally move forward after at least 10 years of delay. Just a week ago they sent out a request for contractor pre-qualification.

This appears to also affect the two planned overpasses on South Mopac, which are needed regardless of the status of SH 45 SW.

Nothing is posted on the website of the Austin American Statesman yet.

The litigants are somewhat late to the game. Without any information about the lawsuit, I can't really speculate on what the outcome will be. But this is guaranteed to at least delay the project.

I wonder if there is any hope for the SW portion of TX-45 to connect with I-35 and the SE portion of TX-45. Ultimately the Southern portion of TX-45 needs to run from I-35 on West to US-290 on Austin's Western outskirts.

As skinny at the proposed section of SH 45SW is will it be Interstate quality like the other limited access portions? Or will this just be a glorified street posing as a toll road?
