Oldest Vestigial Signs Posted in the Field for Routes No Longer What is Posted

Nice one, I forgot about this. Did Highway 9 used to be routed along Highway 88??

Also I love that completely non-standard EDR sign pointed in the wrong directions haha

Lol, good catch on the EDR directions. :-D

Based on some quick reading, I don't think Highway 9 was ever routed that way. I guess it was just a repurposed shield?

Either that or was a trailblazer shield, maybe.

It's gone now that the Alaskan Way Viaduct has been torn down, but a US 99 shield in Seattle remained until 2019 despite the route being decommissioned in 1969
