They're really not that great. Admins still have access to them and I never really bother to look at them because they don't really provide much info that isn't just "huh, neat."
The male:female ratio is listed as 12.1:1. I am not certain how accurate this is because the gender selector is inelegant (doesn't cover nonbinary genders) and I don't believe specifying a gender is mandatory, and males are more likely to self-identify than non-males. Likewise, I'm sure there's at least one person who identifies as female in real life but chose to be categorized as male because she doesn't want to catch anyone's attention.
