This webpage goes back to an earlier 2023 installment of a traffic signal in Broussard that remains red until an approaching car slows down to a certain speed limit. To me personally it can only work on lightly traveled two lane roads, but the media in Montreal wants to bring it out again.  I’m guessing in this situation FRED is gone past the experimental stage with flying colors.

The next segment of A-70 is under construction.  Construction of the whole project is scheduled to last through 2028.
