I've added a few more Kansas mini's.

I've got my eye on a few full size signs, but they will have to wait until after the holidays.

Picked up a brown AZ Loop 202 shield.  This was the last one I needed to finish the colored Loop Freeway set:

Picked up a AZ 51 shield (layered over a not so well hidden US 60) recently.  This just leaves AZ 153 and AZ 24 to finish a Phoenix Freeway set:

Picked up a reproduction US Route 199 shield someone had made.  Basically it is spot on for the previous Caltrans spec:

I ordered this recently:  Alt US 30 in Nebraska

I'm lying low for now and don't expect any more acquisitions until at least Summer.

Reminds me of the time a certain forum member here had an Oklahoma I-45 printed up because he wanted to be able to say he had the first one ever made in the event US-69 ever gets upgraded.

That looks quite sharp. Where, if you don't mind, did you get that from?

I used to pick up signs from them when I lived in Florida.  They do good modern stuff and I believe they are FDOT contractor.

Speaking of new shields, I picked up someone's Caltrans spec reproduction US 50 shield:

I picked this one up via Jake back in January

I've got a real one of those. My wife posted it with a CA 99 and an I-5.

My 101 and 395 are actual Caltrans sourced signs:

Regarding 99 I have one Caltrans spec and one from the City of Fresno which is substantially more odd:

I also have one Oregon I-5 and a button copy I-5 from San Juan Capistrano:

My 101 and 395 are also, but I also have a button copy 101 that used to be on an overhead. It was too big to fit in my car; my buddy had to get it to the house for me in his SUthingy. I posted it in the garage.

Picked up another US Route 202 shield, albeit far more modern than my Maine variant:

I recently acquired an Arkansas I-57 because I'm betting ARDOT wont use state named shields.

Picked up an unused and apparently run over CA 227:

Untitled by Max Rockatansky, on Flickr

Max, I see that the mounting holes have not been punched through, meaning that this sign was never mounted, meaning it did not get the opportunity to get run over. I have a few signs with that sort of damage, but nowhere near that bad. I believe that the damage was caused by  the sign rubbing against another sign or object. A likely way for that to happen is that the sign rode around on the truck too long.

I'm pretty sure it was rubber compound, it largely came off when I hit it with detail spray I use on my car.  The weird thing is that I didn't have really any notable scratches.  I have a couple unmounted orange construction shields which have some scratch marks I suspect came from rubbing against each other.
