Title: Lind-Hatton Road in eastern Washington: old US 395?
Post by: agentsteel53 on August 20, 2013, 12:38:22 PM
I drove this road the other day, and it sure feels like it was an original state highway.  my 1945 map shows US-395 on the current alignment to the east, but I am wondering if anyone with an older map can tell me if US-395 once went through Lind and Hatton when going north from Connell.

It was never US 395: http://www.davidrumsey.com/luna/servlet/detail/RUMSEY~8~1~33772~1171488:Rand-McNally-junior-auto-road-map-W
But a 1915 map does show the state-maintained Central Washington Highway along it: http://www.sos.wa.gov/history/maps_detail.aspx?m=27
By 1924 the state highway was on Foulkes Road.
