Title: Inverse numbers game
Post by: Brandon on August 24, 2013, 09:37:19 PM
The rules are very simple.  1. Post a photo showing a route number with its inverse in the same photo, i.e. I-96 with I-69 as shown below.

(https://www.aaroads.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi837.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fzz298%2Fmidamcrossrds%2F100_3534_zpsc475c872.jpg&hash=19986d20df127c6eddc7fe4f7644efc3e87b14c1) (http://s837.photobucket.com/user/midamcrossrds/media/100_3534_zpsc475c872.jpg.html)

They can be concurrent, lead to, or cross.

Is this a valid entry? It has 162 and 261 but not as concurrent or crossing--they are consecutive exits.

Yep.  All they need be is the inverse and in the same photo.  Even as smartassy as it is, NE2's counts.  Actually, I like the smartassiness of it.  :-D

No pictures, but:

NY 23 and NY 32 have concurrency.
NY 13 and NY 31 intersect.

Does anyone have a picture of either?

PA-902 intersects US-209 in Lansford, PA (Ironically, 5 miles to the west in Tamaqua US-209 intersects PA-309, and 9 miles to the east in Jim Thorpe US-209 intersects PA-903)

And US 1, the inverse of itself :sombrero:.

There is an expressway in Northeastern China numbered G1111. At one point, it is overlaid with G222. I wish there was a photo somewhere, I couldn't find any.

US-89 and AZ-98 at Page, AZ:
(https://www.aaroads.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.corcohighways.org%2Fhighways%2Faz%2Fus89%2Futto98%2F4.jpg&hash=848e364d415c62f5a1d50835087236b58423f7a4)
The setup should say "SOUTH US-89, TO AZ-98," unless there's some kind of obscure designation for AZ-98 past its apparent western end.

Check out this old WV county route marker in Oak Hill:

And just down the road from it:

Looks more like Connecticut. Did they really mess up, or is it supposed to be that way?

It's standard for West Virginia.  West Virginia uses a plain square (or rectangle) for state routes.

This is a lot harder than the last game. It took me ages to find a suitable picture so here's one with a double :colorful:

Sagamore Parkway and Teal Rd. in Lafayette.  Thanks to INDOT stupidly removing the State Roads through Lafayette, this no longer exists.
