I read the article.  It's good that the Commission is able to carry out their work without increasing tolls.  My uncle uses the Tacony-Palmyra bridge when coming home from Cape May Courthouse to avoid the $5 toll on the Delaware River Port Authority (DRPA) Walt Whitman Bridge.  The tolls on the DRPA bridges are outrageous.

As one who lives in the area, I agree; but when compared to the tolls in the NYC area, DRPA's $5 (one-way toll) is a relative bargain.  See the NYC 2014 meet and Tolls on a meet thread in the Road Enthusiasts Meetings section regarding those tolls.

The thing about DRPA and their toll, i view it as a convience charge.

For example i will use the betsy ross bridge if i want to visit a friend who lives right near it, it is cheaper to take the tacony but i don't like to have to navigate the north philly streets, too easy to go past where he lives. I will also use em if my intended destination is on any of the interstates.

That being said, if i am heading into philly and i am in less of a hurry i would take the bristol bridge over to US13 and take that down to 95 near parx casino, taking it the rest of the way into the city
