Title: Purple signs on the Creek Turnpike, six lane section nearly complete
Post by: bugo on September 23, 2013, 12:36:55 PM
At the western Creek Turnpike toll plaza just east of US 75, there are now purple Pikepass signs.  Only the top few panels are purple, the rest of the sign is green.

Part of the 6 lane portion looks to be ready to open.  It is striped but the right lane is closed.  The new lanes were built in the median, and there is now a Jersey barrier.  The old lanes were not repaved.

Good for you guys. It was a mess when I went through there in July. Probably would have been better off taking Skelly Drive.

The bottleneck on Skelly got a little less annoying, as 4 lanes of the new section of I-44 at Lewis south of the old alignment is now open.
