Wow, lots of states want to get on the 75 MPH bandwagon lately!
I've never met a legislative maximum I didn't want to see raised higher.
let the highway engineers do their job.

That sounds rather wibbly-wobbly to me.

"Wibbly-wobbly" makes me think of a well-known bridge:

I'm willing to be it goes nowhere in the legislature - wouldn't mind being wrong though.

On one hand I agree with this though and would be willing to go with having no statutory maximum speed limits.
On the other, I'm reminded of an ongoing debate between a senator and two transportation agencies in Illinois regarding speed limits.

IDiOT is run by a bunch of sissy nannies.
I don't mean to be a stickler, but shouldn't this be moved to Central States?
Missouri is not Mid-South

This thread may help (https://www.aaroads.com/forum/index.php?topic=11139.0)
Having driven plenty on I-70 through much of the state during my college days, there are some stretches that would need some significant upgrades before it could be raised to 75 IMO (more so in the Eastern part of the state).
