A gaffe from the Wyoming Department of Transportation caused an alert to motorists of 355+ mph winds, as opposed to the 35+ mph winds that they were actually trying to report. Apparently, WYDOT has a dictionary for their electronic signs and 355 apparently passes muster in their dictionary.

QuoteBut "355" is in WYDOT's dictionary. It has to be: There are mile markers with that number.

It has been really windy in the area lately, though.
