Hey all!
Today I traveled up to my lake house on Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire. On the way, I made a stop to the Manchester Department of Highways in downtown Manchester, New Hampshire. I went to go pick up and pay for a sign that I had ordered from them. We then got started talking anything traffic signals. He ended up asking if I wanted to see some of the older signals they had downstairs and I of course said yes! He took me down and there were a bunch of older LFE/Automatic brand signals with the New England color combo (black faces with yellow housings and visors) along with shelves of older signals with the same combo. There were also some older hardware and pedestrian signals along with old brackets and stands and a few golden oldie controllers. There was also a garage with other old signals that I have photos of. Here are the pics! Look at them all, they are really neat, Manchester had some old stuff!

Now also, here is the sign I got today. It is a New Hampshire route 28 that was used for a little bit in the city of Manchester. This shield shows the older style of NH shields with the white border. Newer signs use the black border outside the Old Man On The Mountain. This sign is really special to me since NH doesn't give away older signs. I only got this sign for $15 from the city of Manchester! Though this was the last used sign that was from the city, so I was lucky! NH 28 is also the road that goes right by my lake house!

That's so cool! Looks like I'm going to e-mail the city of Detroit and see if they have any old shields left.
Michigan shields are not at all hard to find on eBay. You can find a state cutout for about ten bucks.

For what kind of crack can you buy a $10 cutout?
for the kind of crack that costs $10, I suppose.
these are flat cutouts that sell on occasion for $9.99, and other times remain unsold. Embossed ones are a whopping $25-$50. I got my M-35 for $28 I think, and John K got his (in better condition than mine!) for about $21.
Michigan/US - you may have to cough up $40.
So what do you guys think of the trip and sign? :D
