Title: Springfield Missouri Area Survey
Post by: M86 on February 27, 2014, 02:55:55 AM
Southwest MoDOT on Facebook posted a link to a survey/collaboration website for transportation issues within the Springfield area.  The site is ran by the Springfield Chamber of Commerce and the Ozarks Transportation Organization (This is their MPO).  MoDOT is involved too.

If any Springfield/SW MO residents are on here, it'll provide a great way to voice your opinions.

Side note:  NWARPC and AHTD... This is something that is sorely needed.

Kansas Expressway has too many signals, IMO. Kansas & Battlefield can be a deathtrap if you're not careful. I wonder if/when Kansas will be extended south from Republic Rd? There's a (non-working) traffic signal in place, but I've never seen any construction.

It may have changed since I lived there in 2007/2008, but I always felt Kansas was reasonably fast, at least compared to the alternatives like Glenstone, National and Campbell. US-65 was, of course, the preferred alternative, but it wasn't anywhere along my routes to anywhere, so the only times I used it were for roadgeeking purposes.
