Title: Commitment to "your" highways
Post by: sdmichael on March 18, 2014, 08:24:00 PM
Who here has adopted their own stretch of highway? Not like "Kramer" but helped clean it up? I've had a section of I-5 in California since 1998 plus two other sections of old US 80 in San Diego County. Yesterday, my new plate came in for my motorcycle. Now US 6 and US 99 are "cosigned" in my parking space. Who else has a similar plate setup?

Ha, we always talked about how it would be great unpaid placement for MDRoads.com to adopt a highway.

I've never adopted one myself, but I used to help clean up the one that my middle school ecology club had adopted.

Similar to Laura; I helped once with a section of NY 72 maintained by the Clarkson School for service hours.  Honors later adopted a section of US 11 (though I had long since finished my service hours by that time).
