Road enthusiasts, rejoice. The Interstate 11 project shows its pride in the form of signs read "Future I-11 corridor". Someday, the route (currently US route 93) from Phoenix, AZ to Las Vegas, NV will be faster and smoother. The two of the nation's fastest growing cities and metro areas (Phoenix is expected to become the 4th largest city in 2020) require a freeway of this sort.
Why is this going to be 11 and not an extension of 19? Too much concurrency?

Is it just the one/two signs on the Hoover Dam? Or are they planning a roll out on bits that are freeway, like what is happening with other congressionally designated interstates.

I think the corridor signs will be placed along US 93 from The end of I-515 to AZ89
and the Interstate shields will be posted in place of the I-515 Signs.

I wouldn't say that right away, as Nevada tends to take its time in putting up Interstate signs. Remember how long it took NDOT to sign I-580 and how long it's taking them to sign I-215, despite portions being up to standard?
EDIT: Also consider that I-11's route through Las Vegas remains undetermined (http://m.reviewjournal.com/news/way-through-valley-public-mulls-interstate-11-routes), as far as I know.
