Are there any plans to put color scans of the Arkansas state highway maps on the AHTD website? What about the backs of the maps? Oklahoma's state map archive includes the backs of the maps, and they have been priceless for researching the history of the state's highways, something I've been doing since I was a small child. An archive with high quality scans in PDF or TIF format along with the reverse of the map would be an invaluable resource for Arkansas highway historians such as myself. If there are no plans to do this, may I suggest that you do?
You bet!

The backs are not scanned on any of those maps. The city maps are what we're looking for.
The more recent years do include the backs. Mapping advises they also have the backs for earlier years, but that they just haven't uploaded them to the web site.
We put in a request to make this happen. No timeframe though.

Thanks. This would be a priceless resource for anybody interested in the history of Arkansas' highway system. It would be nice if it were up by the end of the year.
