US 271 ends at US 71B in Fort Smith, AR. I think US 15 ends at Alt US 17 in South Carolina. Are there any more?
US 360 ends while concurrent with US 58 Business. Does that count?
US 311 ends at that same US 58 Business.
If 3dUSes are non-mainlines, there is US 40 which ends at US 322 if the nearly 15-mile multiplex is not a problem

US 322 is a mainline US route. A US route is either mainline or bannered. No exceptions. Even the split E and W routes are both mainlines.

Nope, doesn't make it that far west. It ends at SR 293/SR 360/Main St.

US 281's south end is at Business US 77 in Brownsville TX. This fits a recurring pattern, where a mainline ended at another mainline, then the second mainline became a business route, without truncation or extension of the first mainline to end at the relocated second mainline.

293 used to be US 29 business, so it counted between the time US 360 was rerouted off current VA 360 (1984), to when US 29's bypass of Danville opened and old US 29 became 29 Business and old 29 Business became 293 (1998?).

US 264 ends at I 440. There is an "END US 264" sign at the interchange.
US 4's east end is at US 1 Bypass.

the "might" comes in because I-440 from there north to US 64 Bus may be a part of US 64 Bus...?
US 79 ended at Bus US 68 in Russelville, KY until 2007.

I would say no, because mainline US 64 is right there too. Oh, and you better take a picture of that sign, because it appears NCDOT will replace it soon by adding I-495 with US 264.

FIFY. This would have only been in effect between the time that the US 68 bypass was built and when US 79 was truncated back to the southwestern end of the bypass and US 431 was routed along it.
Ah, thanks. I was going over the US highways in Louisiana in my head, and 79 was one I looked up because I couldn't remember anything about its northern terminus.
Also what about US 43 in Mobile? What is the designation for US 90 over the Bay bridge that avoids the tunnels? It is Truck 98 along that stretch, but is it mainline US 90 now or an ALT route officially? Google maps shows ALT, but streetview shows mainline. US 43 ends at/beneath the bridge carrying US 90 (alt?) & US 98 Truck

Used to be ALT 90, but became mainline 90 ~10 years ago? Alex would know more about the timing.

Suffixed routes count as mainline routes under his original post. Otherwise, I could post US 119 ending at US 25E and US 441 ending at US 25W
Though not an auxiliary US route (and thus disqualified under bugo's criteria), I've always found it weird that US 167 ends at BUSINESS LA 14 in Abbeville, LA.
