Title: Oologah World Roadmeet
Post by: bugo on June 08, 2014, 08:25:58 PM
I have marked some of the bridges that we will be visiting at the Oologah World Meet.  If somebody wants to come up with a route that will allow us to see most if not all of these bridges, feel free to do so.

Do you think the Gilcrease and/or Tisdale parkways could be incorporated into the route? I seem to recall we didn't do either of those at the Tulsa meet I attended.

I would suggest revisiting the Fart Smock bridge, but alas, it's gone...

The Gilcrease and Tisdale parkways are boring, but if you want to drive to Tulsa and drive on them then it's your prerogative.

Isn't there some construction on the Gilcrease extension?

The Gilcrease has been "extended" along a 2 lane road all the way to 41st Street West along a future frontage road.  I haven't been to the Gilcrease/Tisdale junction in some time so I don't know how far along the construction is going but the last time I was there part of the grading for the freeway had been done.
