Title: New here
Post by: freebrickproductions on June 09, 2014, 12:44:02 AM
Hello all, I'm David and I live in Huntsville, AL.
I'm interested in a variety of odd interests, two of them being traffic lights and abandoned roads. I also have a minor interest in roads that are still used.
I'm also a railfan who know more about railroad crossing signals than the different models of engines and I'm interested in tornado sirens, air conditioning units, fans, and LEGOs.
I hope to enjoy my time here, because this seems like a very nice forum.

Welcome aboard!

I share a similar interest in railroad crossing signals, tornado sirens, and LEGO. (FYI, the plural of LEGO is LEGO :) ). Unfortunately, the other week I noticed another wig-wag (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wigwag_(railroad)) pair disappear before I got a chance to get a picture of it. :-(

Do you like air raid sirens?  The Chrysler Hemi powered air raid siren is my favorite.

Yep. The Chrysler isn't my favorite, but it's up there. I'd have to say that the 2nd Generation Federal Signal 2001-SRN is my favorite.

There's a clip somewhere on the internet of the Chrysler siren.  The hemi starts up and burbles loudly, then the siren kicks in and drowns out the sound of the big V8 engine.  It's pretty awesome.
