Title: Anatomy of a K-TAG
Post by: route56 on June 19, 2014, 03:28:11 PM
Recently, I was notified that my old clamshell K-TAG was being "recalled," and I was advised to swap out my tag for a new model. Since I only drive one car (and the rest of the family vehicles all have KTAG stickers on another account) I finally accepted the new sticker.

Now that the new sticker has arrived (and has been placed in my vehicle) and since I am free to dispose of the old K-TAG as I see fit, I decided to have a little peek at what the old unit looked like:

As it turns out, it is battery-powered. The battery is soldered to the circuit board. There are no lights or speakers, just chips and a battery :)
