Well, I guess when you look at our libertarian "don't tread on me" culture West River, it makes sense.
And therefore, the inherent problem with libertarianism - it quickly denigrates to "I do what I want, no matter what" - the tyranny of anarchy. Don't get me wrong... I'm all for many concepts within it, but well, it gets a little hairy very fast when one starts thinking all government and law is a stifling force to be done away with - or at least ignored - such as driving through legitimately barricaded roads.

Lest this be painted as a rural narrative, something similar happened in Johnson County, KS, with motorists driving around a barricade to prematurely use a closed exit ramp. Unfortunately, while solid enough to drive on, the concrete hadn't cured completely, so it had to be torn out and done over, necessitating a longer closure...

I can see that happening. In a similar vein, we also have a barricaded "street" in Spearfish that everyone drives around to avoid the worst stoplight in the state.
