Pennslyvania: The Tampon, Menthol Cigarette smoking heinz loving state.
Nevada's map shows a (Scuderia) Ferrari logo, not a Porsche emblem (http://www.porsche.com/international/accessoriesandservice/classic/philosophyandclassicworld/world/tradition/emblem/).
They both have a prancing horse, but that's like mixing up a US Route and a Interstate shield.
That first West Virginia brand appears to be American Eagle.
And I certainly hope that those Virginia folks are big fans of the Playboy articles.

Ooops. The original post I saw on another website wasn't very clear. Bad guess on my part.
The "no duplicates" rule must have been intentional. Otherwise, there would have been a lot of duplication for adjacent states.
I'm amazed that Dunkin Donuts didn't make the top three in Massachusetts - there seems to be one on nearly every other street corner and at every Interstate/freeway exit.

It's in Rhode Island, and there is a "no duplication" rule.
Today I learned Vlasic started in Michigan and still has facilities here. I never knew! Faygo and Better Made seem like more representative food brands, and it's too bad Meijer didn't make the list (though it looks like they only used brands that are known nationwide).
How did Hummer make it third place in New Mexico if Hummers are no longer made?
Bud in Colorado should only beat out Coors if it's KGB (Killer Green Bud) methinks. How did Budweiser manage to win that race?

No, no, hipsters eschew Bud unless in some third stage meta-hipster, anti-hipster-response mode. Hipsters prefer every other cheap beer besides Bud, the less familiar to those around them the better. Russian brand Pabst Blue Ribbon is now the Bud of hipster beers.
It almost looks like someone just randomly assigned various companies to various states. Taco Bell in Idaho? Hellmann's in NJ?
Outside of maybe a few obvious ones (Disney in Florida), none of this really makes much sense.

Boeing, Starbucks and Microsoft make sense in WA, all because they're based in Seattle. The jury's still out for the other 49 states. Like Chevy in ND??? I'd expect Dodge to at least make it in ND or SD, since Dakota was the name of their gone-but-not-forgotten small pickup truck.

Ok. Duracell and Pfizer make sense for CT, since they have a major presence in the state. But how does some skunky beer that seems to be aimed at underage frat parties end up as the #2 brand in the state? There are SO many better beers brewed in our state (Hooker, Two Roads, City Steam).
