For many years, there has been a proposed extension of Puerto Rico Highway 22 (Autopista José De Diego) to Aguadilla. However, many have been against it due to the proposed routing going through the karst of the island, favoring conversion of Puerto Rico Highway 2 to freeway standards instead (which IMO would be virtually impossible with all the businesses along the road). In addition, the current governor favors an elevated reversible toll lane above PR-2 instead of extending PR-22, which I personally think is pretty stupid.
So, does anyone think PR-22 will ever be extended to Aguadilla?
