Those signs could only be more appropriate if 2014 ended there and 2015 began:

       END      BEGIN
      2014        2015

It looks like if he was coming from the left, it would be the end of 2014 (it's a 3-way intersection).

THE place to be at midnight on 1/1/15... by the time the OP posted this, it was already past midnight in my time zone :sombrero:.

This is on KY 2014; it turns left and 2015 begins going straight ahead.

I doubt it, but it'd be pretty cool if this was on the time zone boundary that runs through the middle of Kentucky. Imagine if KY 2015 went into a county that was in Eastern Time Zone and KY 2014 went into a county that was in Central.
