What is the longest street name in your area? When I say street name, I mean don't include the words "road, street parkway" etc. If you could find a sign of it, please post it.
Chancellor Matheson Road is the longest one I can think of. It's difficult fitting it on a street name sign:

Here it's Duke of Gloucester Street. Back in the 1990s the street blades omitted the St suffix and just said Duke of Gloucester.
Longest ones I can think of:

There's a lot of others, such as Manhattan-Monee Road, Wilmington-Peotone Road, Warner Bridge Road, etc.
Maple Valley-Black Diamond Road. My friend runs a new paint store there, and it doesn't fit in the address Field in their computer system, nor does it fit on one line on her address stamp.
I'm sure most politically-correct cities have a street named Martin Luther King Jr. http://goo.gl/maps/91Vu2
Outside of that, Tucson, AZ has Oracle Jaynes Station Rd http://goo.gl/maps/Cqico
not to mention probably many long spanish names, like Calle Campana De Plata and Placita Colonia De Oro http://goo.gl/maps/LFNyW
Why is everything "in your area"?
Federal regs.
Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard would have to win here in Dalton, GA (and if you count the South Dalton Bypass' (US 41) hidden name, Admiral Mack Gaston Parkway, that's pretty long, too).

What about Hawaii? Some of those words are very long.

What about Hawaii? Some of those words are very long.
Yeah, but the Hawaiians were sensible enough to leave the really long ones out of their street names.
The ones that come to mind, within the state highway system, are Oahu's Kalanianaole Highway (most is HI 72) and Queen Liliuokalani Freeway (most of Interstate H-1), and Maui's Honoapiilani Highway (most of HI 30), all with 12-letter main words, which are also tongue-twisters. For total name length, Franklin D. Roosevelt Avenue (unsigned state route, on a former Naval air station) in southwest Oahu is also a contender, as well as Kaimu-Chain of Craters Road (part of HI 130, mostly obliterated by lava flows) on the Big Island.
Off the top of my head, two of the longer street names I can think of are Jefferson Davis Highway (though everyone just calls it Route 1) and Lee-Jackson Memorial Highway (normally referred to as Route 50).

There's Centreville-Constantine Rd in St. Joseph County, MI
Cantu-Galleano Ranch Road in Jurupa Valley, CA
Back when I first moved to Orlando most of West Colonial Drive had a long name that was actually not, as it was mostly redundancy.
WB William Bill McGee Highway was the name on the blade street signs from Hastings Street to the Lake County Line along SR 50.
In actuality his name was William B McGee, a former FDOT employee of importance that part of Colonial Drive was renamed later on before Orange County, FL decided that it would be better if all of SR 50 in Orange County had the same name. So in retrospect WB McGee, nicknamed Bill (hence the "Bill" in between William and McGee, lost having a highway named after him so that all of SR 50 became Colonial Drive within Orange County, FL.
Lewisville-Clemmons Road in Clemmons, NC.
By word count, I believe our local winner would have to be Old Road To Nine Acre Corner in Concord. Locals often write it "ORNAC," which Google Maps even seems to understand.
Here in the Appleton, WI area, there is a 'Butte des Morts Beach Rd'.

The one street blade on US 23 erected by Franklin County calls it Portsmouth — Columbus Rd. Besides, the Western in the name sounds like it should refer to OH 104, which I believe is signed as Jackson Pike.
I know some people who live on Lilly Chapel Opossum Run Rd. Sometimes for work I drive on Bloomingburg — New Holland Rd. Very close to my house is Plain City — Georgesville Rd. Most of the contenders here are probably going to be of the form Town A — Town B Rd, maybe with a directional like Eastern thrown in.
All of the cities I will claim as my own are relatively boring: Davenport has Veterans Memorial Parkway, the Illinois Quad Cities have Avenue of the Cities, and Valparaiso has Burlington Beach Road, none of which are quite as long as some of the others on this thread.

That may be Council Bluffs longest as well, except that I believe the locals still refer to it by the old name of South Omaha Bridge Road. They also have East South Omaha Bridge Road, which I assume was part of the original South Omaha Bridge Road before the current alignment of Iowa 92 existed.
As for Omaha, there are no lengthy street names, as even the streets named for people were people with short last names. My local Omaha atlas refers to Fort Crook Frontage Road, which is the street Bellevue's auto row is on, but I don't think that's the official name.
Well, these are all cute and long-ish, but if you want really long names:
http://empirestateroads.com/cr/crstlawrence.html
(Okay, so these are not really posted names...but this hyphenated format is likely a good way to find some of the longest candidates.)
Oh, and there was a thread some time back, specifically about the most words in a street name, which would tend to yield some of the longest as well.
Long Island:
* Two Holes of Water Road
* Three Mile Harbor Road (Suffolk CR 40)
Westchester:
* Saw Mill River Road (NY 9A)
Connecticut:

Southeast of Terre Haute there is a gravel road called Lower Bloomington Road. I'm pretty sure it wins in my area.
Monroe Co. in NY doesn't sign their county routes so all are known by their names. We have several town line roads here as well as county line roads so some names are rather lengthy.
Monroe-Orleans County Line Rd may be the longest name. Longest street name closest to where I live is Chili Center-Coldwater Rd.
NYC has Avenue of the Americas which could be their longest street name but everyone just refers to it as 6th Ave.

Meanwhile, in the Bronx you have Grand Boulevard and Concourse–but since, by the rules of the thread, street descriptors don't count ("street", "road", or in this case "boulevard and concourse"), then this is a non-starter since all we're left with is "Grand". :-D

I would submit the intersection in Birmingham, AL, which until 10 years ago or so would have been 21st St N and 8th Ave N, but is now Richard Arrington Jr Blvd N and Reverend Abraham Woods Jr Blvd N.
Also in the suburb of Homewood, there are some sections that name streets for the 2 streets they are between which produce a lot of long names. Sutherland Manhattan is between Sutherland Pl and Manhattan St for example.

Off the top of my head, here in Carroll County we have Keysville-Bruceville Road (https://www.google.com/maps/place/Keysville+Bruceville+Rd,+Keymar,+MD+21757/@39.613469,-77.2361145,3a,49.3y,353.76h,78.98t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1s9x6PcbLXHtfRD2Zz1MQk1Q!2e0!6s%2F%2Fgeo3.ggpht.com%2Fcbk%3Fpanoid%3D9x6PcbLXHtfRD2Zz1MQk1Q%26output%3Dthumbnail%26cb_client%3Dmaps_sv.tactile.gps%26thumb%3D2%26w%3D203%26h%3D100%26yaw%3D105.34638%26pitch%3D0!7i13312!8i6656!4m5!3m4!1s0x89c9b598b8e3bfed:0x654e3a12a9b6d670!8m2!3d39.62182!4d-77.2495422), which apparently needed two blade signs to fit. (Francis Scott Key Highway, I've found, is generally abbreviated on blade signs as "F.S.K. Hwy.")
In Orlando its Colonial Drive going east west and Orange Blossom Trail going north south.
In Osceola County, FL its Irlo Bronson Highway that goes from the Brevard County Line in the east to its western terminus at US 27. However, even with the break in name continuity in both Kissimmee and St. Cloud where it becomes Vine Street in the former and 13th Street in the latter, its still a damned long street name.
Vietnam Veterans Memorial Parkway in the Peach County part of Warner Robins - a two-mile long road with exactly one building located on it - is likely the longest name around here other than MLK Jr. Somewhat surprisingly, there's no street named "Augustine Warner Robins" for the city's namesake, although Robins AFB does apparently have a Robins Pkwy on-base.
Perry nearby has General Courtney Hodges Boulevard.
Macon has Little Richard Penniman Boulevard, which also gets close.
Elsewhere in my recent travels, "Old Mountain View-Alviso Road" in Santa Clara CA is worth a mention, the not-so-old variant being buried under the CA 237 freeway today.
Three I can think of:
Belle Mead-Blawenburg Road (CR 601)
Belle Mead-Griggstown Road (CR 630)
Georgetown-Franklin Turnpike (CR 518)
During my stay in the Richmond area, the longest was Historic Route 1 or Jefferson Davis Highway. I'm now gonna guess that the longest street name in the world is probably in the Eastern Hemisphere and has a discombobulation of letters.
South WHite Horse Pike
The longest one I can think of around me is Observatory Road.
The longest names in my city (that I can think of) are Fischer-Hallman Road, Homer Watson Boulevard, and Bingemans Centre Drive.
The last one struggles to fit on the street sign :)

In the Evansville, IN area our reigning champ is: Boonville / New Harmony Road .
I think the winner in Austin is Capital of Texas Highway.
Although McKinney Falls Pkwy intersects both Colton-Bluff Springs Rd and Dee Gabriel Collins Rd, and I think they're easily the top two in the region for longest combined street names at an intersection.
In Jackson, it may be Margaret Walker Alexander Drive. The former name of this street was Guynes Street, which is where civil rights pioneer Medgar Evers lived.

Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place, a one-block stretch of Polk Street in San Francisco's Civic Center area, where City Hall is located:

If you liked the TV show, you'll really love the Streets of San Francisco data table:
https://data.sfgov.org/Geographic-Locations-and-Boundaries/Street-Names/6d9h-4u5v/data
Excluding things like "HWY 1 TO HWY 101 NORTHBOUND RAMP" and "RECYCLING CENTER ACCESS RD", Dr Carlton B Goodlett Place ties Martin Luther King Jr Drive. (Perhaps MLK's doctorate just didn't fit on the sign..)
Runner up is Christmas Tree Point Road on Twin Peaks.
Don't ask me why, but Elwood decided to change the name of the road to their intermodal freight terminal, from "Baseline Road" to "Elwood International Port Road." Pretty sure people are still calling it Baseline Road because of the sheer lack of linguistic efficiency.
Not that I think anyone in Miami-Dade uses anything but the street names (usually DIRECTION nnn St/Ave/Rd/Dr), but many streets are re-dedicated for people in the area...this is but one example (Bebop Curry Warning) (https://www.aaroads.com/forum/index.php?topic=3521.msg270418#msg270418):

Huntsville, AL recently built a road called Dr. Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard. Pretty sure that's the longest street name in this area.
"Box Hill South Corporate Center Drive" in Abingdon, Maryland. It's near I-95 Exit 77.
I don't think anyone has yet mentioned the "Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Beltway" , an unwieldy name that spills onto three lines of a guide sign (https://goo.gl/maps/y5fvHuAZMRN2) on I-81.

Nailed it. Thank god it's not in Spain as someone would tell me that Spain is in the Western Hemisphere.
That would be me, as I'm from Spain and I live in the Western Hemisphere, albeit by less than half a degree.
BTW, I think Sebastián MartÃn Retortillo y Baquer is the longest street name in my hometown. I'll double check if I'm mistaken.

My first thought was: Let's pick a pompous, unctuous, and cumbersome street name that's entirely forgettable!
Although not a long name, it was signed as one, Bill McGee Highway (now part of West Colonial Drive) in Pine Hills, Ocoee, Winter Garden, and Oakland in Florida was signed as one. They used his proper name William followed by his middle initial "B" and then nickname "Bill" and then McGee so it took up a long blade "William B. (Bill) McGee Highway.
Many thought that he had a long name, but of course we know that Bill and William are the same, however the redundancy may count for being longer than it should be.

You would only disagree if you lived 35 miles farther east.
That's the 2nd longest street name I think in the Western Hemisphere. Unless the Baquer part is street/avenue/etc because I counted 36 characters.
I left 'Calle de' out, which goes before the name. We do prefixes instead.

That is the longest street name in the Western Hemisphere now. 44 characters (the website Traveling linked only has 37 characters).
Here's a long name I took a photo of today on the 400 NB:

What is the longest street name in your area? When I say street name, I mean don't include the words "road, street parkway" etc. If you could find a sign of it, please post it.
Chancellor Matheson Road is the longest one I can think of. It's difficult fitting it on a street name sign:
http://goo.gl/maps/W1uIX
http://goo.gl/maps/nYgwE
Again, if there already exists a thread of this nature, my apologies.
I would be surprised that there isn't a "Rancho Palos Verdes Estates Drive".
Some sections of Californina highways are named for two CHP officers and they usually use their full middle names, so they would each be eight to eleven words in the title, but they are typically only signed once or twice and are not generally used.
VA 312 is signed as both J Clyde Morris Blvd and Avenue Of The Arts

In Wakefield MA - Quannapowitt Park Way (and yes, Park and Way are supposed to be two separate words).
Alexandria, LA:
Willow Glen River Rd
Autumn Orchard Loop
Billy Mitchell Blvd
Eddie Williams Ave
Frank Andrews Blvd

Growing up on Long Island, I often wondered if there was ever a longer street name than Bread and Cheese Hollow Road. (https://www.google.com/maps/place/Bread+and+Cheese+Hollow+Rd,+Northport,+NY+11768/@40.8838874,-73.2877854,3a,75y,272.52h,76.67t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1sbqj7XoNRCZZQJB7ZI97vWA!2e0!6s%2F%2Fgeo0.ggpht.com%2Fcbk%3Fpanoid%3Dbqj7XoNRCZZQJB7ZI97vWA%26output%3Dthumbnail%26cb_client%3Dmaps_sv.tactile.gps%26thumb%3D2%26w%3D203%26h%3D100%26yaw%3D261.99878%26pitch%3D0!7i13312!8i6656!4m5!3m4!1s0x89e824dc710118b9:0x5d15a9543cd3ff5!8m2!3d40.9109311!4d-73.3001172)
Then, when I moved to Massachusetts in 2000, I found the Old Road to Nine Acre Corner, abbreviated on blade signs to Old Road To 9 A.C. (https://www.google.com/maps/@42.4308526,-71.3755616,3a,15y,195.73h,85.04t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1s4ApXj58MM1JC4ZlS34iWoQ!2e0!7i13312!8i6656)
I was about to post this, then saw you'd already posted it, then saw I posted it in 2015.
But what I'd like to know is, where is it signed like that? Not doubting, just curious to see it. There are several variants, haven't seen that one (nor am I sure if there's an "ORNAC" sign, though I have seen "ORNAC" written).
