Title: Your Top 5 Favorite Movies
Post by: OCGuy81 on February 03, 2015, 05:59:06 PM
With the Oscars this month, I figured we'd do a list of our top 5 favorite movies.

It's really hard to rank, and mine are ever changing, but at the moment

5) Patton
4) Lost in Translation
3) Star Trek II The Wrath of Khan
2) Lawrence of Arabia
1) Goodfellas.  I can watch this over and over and never tire of it.

5) Wall-E
4) Groundhog Day
3) Galaxy Quest
2) The Lord of the Rings trilogy (extended)
1) Apollo 13

In no particular order, except for the first one; and subject to change, also except for the first one:

Blazing Saddles
The Jerk
48 Hrs.
Beverly Hills Cop

Having trouble coming up with a fifth one.

Two of those (Groundhog Day and WALL-E) are among my favorites. Can't stand LoTR.

5)Groundhog Day
4)Donnie Darko
3)WALL-E
2)Fight Club
1)Shawshank Redemption

Put in Requiem for a Dream, Clerks, Dogma, Idiocracy, Waiting, Interstellar, Inception, Borat, Pulp Fiction, Inglorious Basterds, The Matrix, Memento, Stranger than Fiction, and Forrest Gump as movies that could also be on this list.

In no particular order:

South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut
Lord of the Rings trilogy extended editions
The Godfather
Animal House
Gandhi

The original Space Battleship Yamato comes close to being on the list, but the American TV series adaptation Star Blazers was better.

QuoteBlazing Saddles
The Jerk

Those are great comedies that never seem to get old.

Add Blues Brothers, Airplane, and Caddyshack, and that's a top 5 right there of just comedy!

Wasn't that the one from South Park the boys were trying to take back to the video store? LOL!

Best episodes of that show are the ones that involve Randy in some fashion.
