Any place where there are a bunch of Michael Summa photos posted? I've seen bits and pieces of them around but not a whole collection.

I know this site is great...but there's a lot more from other parts of the country.
Thanks!
http://www.alpsroads.net/roads/ has a bunch.
There are several scattered among the Shield Gallery and a bunch posted on the colored Florida US shields page:

Yeah, I was thrilled to be able to put a bunch of his photos online. If only I'd been taking pictures way back when, the way he did...

He's the grandfather of road geeking.
Wow, that is a beautiful collection of older road photos. It has definitely earned its spot on my "favorites." ;-)
Is Michael Summa still around? For some reason it seems like he's not, but I don't know for sure.

Michael is still around., His health hasnt been too good in recent years, so his travels have been pretty limited....he has visited me a few times but not recently. I did visit him a few years ago...still does the signs, and has his own studio where he makes miniature versions of signs...
He has definitely earned his place and respect as one of the early road geeks

He came to my Pikeville meet in October 2013. He's now living in the Blacksburg/Christiansburg, Va. area. That's only about a three-hour drive to Pikeville, so he and his ladyfriend came to the meet and delighted the attendees with a collection of homemade signs.
