Another one I missed is "Miss Independent". Kelly Clarkson scored a big hit in 2003, while Ne-Yo charted a few years ago with a totally different song, though not nearly as well known.
Shout by The Isley Brothers and Tears for Fears (The former was used at least once in a commercial for a laundry spray of that name.)
You know Sing (Sing a Song) by The Carpenters (which was actually written for Sesame Street by Joe Raposo)?
Earth Wind and Fire had Sing a Song
Tony Orlando and Dawn had a minor adult hit titled merely Sing
You know Rock of Ages by Def Leppard? The name might have been chosen with intentional irony, since there's a well-known 18th-Century Christian hymn by that name -- and even a Jewish hymn for Hanukkah with that title!

Different songs, but quite similar lyrically, so much so that Dylan shares a writing credit on Rod's version.
A different "Forever Young" was also a minor hit for new wave band Alphaville in the 80s. The song has become more well known over the years from its use in TV and movies.
Thanks to my daughter's musical knowledge, I know that For You I Will is the title of totally different songs by Monica and Teddy Geiger.
And then there's the two different songs with the title I Will Always Love You that were performed by Whitney Houston (originally Dolly Parton) and an obscure R&B group named Troop.
The Kinks have a song called "Destroyer"; Static-X and Design the Skyline have different songs of the same name (and Kiss have an album with that name, but no eponymous song).
Neil Diamond has the well-known "America"; Simon & Garfunkel have an utterly different song that's probably just as well-known.
Michael Jackson and U2 have utterly different songs called "Bad."
Twisted Sister and the Who have songs called "We're Not Gonna Take It" that have no resemblance to each other whatsoever.
The Grateful Dead's "Built to Last" (from their final studio album) versus Tom Petty's "Built to Last" released a few years later.
"C'est La Vie" by Bob Seger is a very different song from Shania Twain's rather bubblegum-sounding song of the same name that sounds a lot like "Dancing Queen"!
Close but not quite:
John Mellencamp has "Authority Song"; Jimmy Eat World have "The Authority Song"
Simon & Garfunkel's "The Boxer" versus the Gaslight Anthem's "Boxer"

- The Emotions -- June 1977
Even though they were completely different tunes, each "Best of My Love" song made it to #1 on the Billboard Pop Charts -- a feat that no other pair of different songs/same title has done (to my knowledge).
Two different songs called "Venus" have topped the
Billboard pop chart: the first in 1959 by Frankie Avalon, and the other in 1970 by the Shocking Blue. For good measure, a remake of the Shocking Blue song by Bananarama also topped the chart.

Magic was sung by:
- Pilot (1974)
- Olivia Newton-John (1980)
- The Cars (1984)
- Coldplay (2014)
Back On My Feet Again was sung by The Foundations (1968) and The Babys (1979). There was also the similar When I'm Back On My Feet Again by Michael Bolton (1990).
If we're including album cuts, a group called Vandenburg (of "Burnin" heart" fame in 1982) did a song called "Back on My Feet," and Rainbow did a song called "Magic."

Just this morning I heard "Love Bites" by Def Leppard on the way to work. While on lunch I heard "Love Bites (So Do I)" by Halestorm. Not exact same title, but close enough.
Judas Priest also did a song called "Love Bites."

"Tunnel of Love", by the Dire Straits in 1980, and by Springsteen in 1987.
I can't remember the artist, but the guy who sang "Magnet and Steel" had a b-side of the same 45 that was Tunnel of Love.
Fellow by the name of Walter Egan did that song in 1978.

The Priest song is WAAAAAAAAAAAY better than the Def Leppard song.
Def Leppard has a song called "High 'n' Dry (Saturday Night)"
Radiohead has a song called "High And Dry"
What's Going On? by Marvin Gaye and 4 Non-Blondes
Hot Summer Nights by a group called "Night" and later covered by Water Egan. The Miami Sound Machine has a different song with that title, and there seem to be others. In singular form, it's the parenthetical title of Meatloaf's You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth.

Survivor also had a Burning Heart.

The second-best Survivor song from a Rocky movie ever!
"Baby Driver." Done by Simon & Garfunkel; an entirely different song done by Kiss (Peter Criss on vocals).
^ Now that's a weird title for multiple bands to have used.
Ok, what title is the winner for having the most different songs?
I'd nominate "Crush"
1. Selena Gomez
2. Jennifer Paige
3. Mandy Moore
4. Dave Matthews
5. David Archeletta

I Love You, with 41 songs (from Wikipedia disambiguation page)
California Girls by the Beach Boys, and California Gurls by Katy Perry.
Not spelled the same though, but it is pronounced the same.
There are two different smooth jazz songs known as East River Drive. The older of the two was by the late saxophonist Grover Washington Jr. in 1980. In the 1990s there was a completely different song with the same title by bassist Stanley Clarke. Interestingly, both songs are played on SiriusXM's Watercolors.
Surprised nobody's mentioned "Learning to Fly" yet. Very different songs by Ping Floyd and Tom Petty.
Time is both two completely different songs by Alan Parsons and Pink Floyd.
What is really interesting is that Parsons produced the album that Pink Floyd's song appears on.
Games People Play
- Joe South (1968)
- The Spinners (1975)
- The Alan Parsons Project (1980)
Although Pat Boone's "No More Mr. Nice Guy" is a remake of the Alice Cooper original, I would argue it's not really the same song...
Believe is a song by Cher and a song from the Polar Express Movie Soundtrack sung by Josh Groban.
Don't Stop The Party by The Black Eyed Peas and also by Pitbull

What's Going On? by Marvin Gaye and 4 Non-Blondes
The song by 4 Non Blondes is actually called What's Up?
I was going to correct the 4 Non Blondes title, but JP beat me to it.

Sure you don't have that backwards?
It's My Life, by Talk Talk and later by No Doubt is a different song from It's My Life by Bon Jovi. And they're both different from My Life by Billy Joel.
