The front has been torn off but most of the rest remains. There's still a dumpster there, but does anyone know why they didn't put it out of its misery all at once? Anybody else been through there? It's northbound counterpart is still functioning normally.
Last time I passed by with any daylight I thought I saw several large mangled truck parts among the ruin. But I could be mistaken.
By the looks of it a collision could be a possibility.
I would blame the weather for the delay.
It's interesting that the weigh station north of Columbus on I-71 was redone back around 2000 in the same new style and was subsequently abandoned and closed. Meanwhile, much older weigh stations with the little brick building live on. Was this poor planning or something?
They probably hadn't anticipated the popularity of electronic weight verification before the truck leaves the load point.
Truck drove through it in January.
