Title: Shelter Island Bridge & Tunnel Authority?
Post by: D-Dey65 on July 10, 2015, 12:43:36 PM
This has to be a joke. Not that I'd mind if there were such structures, of course:

I thought so. That bridge is way too high to be built for the Shelter Island Sound.

Seriously, the only other possibility besides a hoax, would've been a genuine agency that had greater ambitions of bridges across Shelter Island only to settle for the ferries.

And the "Stirling Memorial Tunnel?" The only place I could see something like that going to is Westbrook, Connecticut.

That toll plaza photo looks like it's actually the Lincoln Tunnel (NJ 495).
