Title: MI - Diamonds on Mich Ave US-12

Today I drove on Michigan Ave from Dearborn into Detroit.  I noticed there were faded diamonds in the right lane.  Was this once a try at a bus/carpool lane?

There was an experiment with HOV lanes back in 2008 during the time I-75 was closed for the Gateway Project. As you probably have observed, HOV restrictions are no longer in force.
