Viewing the forum in Safari on my iPhone rather than via Tapatalk just now, I got the following utterly bizarre background. How weird. (It is not doing that on my iPad, which I'm using to watch a video that must play in the active tab or else it pauses. Hence why I'm reading the forum on my phone.)

I get odd, seemingly random display glitches with this forum on my iPhone very often. Perhaps even more fun is when the system decides to swap an emoji with someone's avatar, which has happened in the past...

If you're referring to the image I posted, that's a real, undoctored screen capture. Also note the out-of-place I-89 shield where NJRoadfan's poster level should be.

The one I posted is undoctored as well. That's what displayed when I viewed the forum on my iPhone just over an hour ago (note the time displayed at the top of the image).

I was actually reffering to both images. I didn't notice the out of place I-89 shield though. Can anyone give any insight to what is up with the :bigass: faces all over the background on the original post.
I had that background once before. Went away by the next morning. One time last week, everyone's red square "offline" indicator was showing the Administrator graphic. Was about the time of lots of whining on another topic, which made me think it was intentional. Was bummed because I wasn't also an admin, then realized what happened. System definitely hiccups on occasion. Wonder what else happens that nobody notices...
I kind of assumed it was a Safari bug because I've never seen that happen on my PC using Waterfox.
Somehow, something goes wonky between the engine that serves up the forum graphics and the iOS Safari browser, and the wrong graphics get put in the wrong places. In the case of the smiley face background, its as if the code says FILL THE BACKGROUND WITH A REPEATING PATTEN OF IMAGE #127 (the green signfacing texture) and instead, it fills the background with #721, the smiley face.
Sometimes, just a few graphics are messed up, and other times, it's seemingly all of them. But if the system serves up only one wrong graphic and that happens to be the wallpaper in the background, you'll definitely notice.
I've never noticed this bug in Safari on the Mac, by the way–it seems limited to iOS.

We had some of those. The electrons were exhibiting Brownian motion and it wouldn't discharge.
