Title: What's your guilty pleasure meal when on the road?
Post by: roadman on August 11, 2015, 12:15:33 PM
If I'm on the road early enough to beat the "we stop serving breakfast" deadline, my guilty pleasure meal is two sausage biscuits from McDonalds.

A big bucket of [brand name] fried chicken and taters'n'gravy...mmm.

Krispy Kreme, Sheetz, and/or White Castle. I'll go slightly out of my way to stop at any of them.

OK - Krispy Kreme for gooey donuts, White Castle for tiny hamburgers.  But what's so special about Sheetz?

Probably the expansive MTO menu at Sheetz (or Wawa, QuickChek, etc.).

In my case, I actually like to find a supermarket and find a container of fruit to munch on in the morning.

Yep. Decent food, it's cheap, it's at the gas station, and they typically have clean restrooms.

I don't really want to restart the Sheetz vs. Wawa debate, but I will point out that Sheetz has a much more extensive menu than Wawa does.

I like Sheetz, but it's kinda pricey for what it is. I could get a good sit-down meal for what it usually costs me to eat at a Sheetz (a couple of sandwiches, an order of fried mac-n-cheese bites, a small order of Fryz and maybe another side.).

the Chick Fil A chicken sandwich Deluxe. Since Long Island lacks a Chick Fil A, I can only get em when Im driving out of town.

I usually either get something from Chick Fil A or a Turkey Sub from Subway.

A Pizza Hut stuffed crust with chicken and green peppers.

White Castle burgers when in New Jersey (or if I should be in the midwest).

I'd have to say pretty much anything from Wendy's or Jack in the Box gets me every time when I'm away from home.
