A 1950s-vintage Hawker Hunter fighter jet crashed while attempting to make a maneuver during a British airshow and crashed into highway A27 which, according to the article, is a major British highway and 7 people are confirmed dead.

All the American articles keep referring to the A27 as "Highway A27" ... it's just "the A27" or "A27 Road". My inner road geek is screaming!
Beyond that, what a terrible collision. I remember driving along that very stretch of the A27 the last time I was in the UK, heading towards Folkstone. Very nice road, particularly in Kent.

The A27 doesn't enter Kent. ;P
Strangely, while he is critical, the pilot is still alive, despite having been at the centre of the massive fireball that was the cause of the death and injury. There's some video and photos here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-34027260

Looks like we lost it around Polegate. Didn't bother to actually notice that, though.
