The Corridor 67 association held a meeting in the Jacksonville area.
Even though IDOT has done engineering studies on constructing the un-upgraded 2-lane sections of the US 67 corridor between Jerseyville and Roodhouse and west of Chapin to Macomb as a 4-lane expressway, no funding is currently allocated to actually do the construction. Proponents of completing the 4-lane upgrade to US 67 think the motor fuel tax must be increased.

Interesting.
Of course, don't expect any US 67 improvements to happen for a long time, because IDOT doesn't have money to do ANYTHING but barely maintain the roads as they are.
They should be focusing on this corridor rather than IL-336.
There was another yearly corridor meeting in Jacksonville on Thursday.
The lack of funds hasn't changed since last year.
