Title: Latest highway shields from the Johnson County (Kansas) Gateway Project
Post by: cappicard on October 02, 2015, 05:54:50 PM
K-DOT finally finished the K-10 interchange at Renner Boulevard in Lenexa, Kansas. So much better, but more work on the rest of the Gateway project.

K-DOT put up these group of shields along northbound Renner Boulevard.

The ramp to NB 435 is part of the collector-distributor ramps being constructed between K-10, southbound/eastbound I-435, I-35, and Lackman Road.

The ramp to eastbound K-10, I-435, and I-35 is partially parallel to the ramp to northbound I-435, just south of the northbound ramp.

Unfortunately, Lackman Road is inaccessible from EB I-435 for about a month.

Now, if K-DOT removes the erroneous Junction K-10 shields at the I-35/435 interchanges along the 35 mainline...  those shields drive me nuts. K-10 doesn't start at 35, but at where 435 changes cardinal directions.
