He's also now filing a lawsuit against the company. The comments in the article are absolutely enjoyable by the way, and I highly recommend you stop by there if you want a good laugh.
It sucks for the fired employee but I can understand the employer's reaction. It doesn't say what position the afflicted man was working, but if he was doing food prep it is absolutely acceptable for someone with diarrhea to be removed from his position, for sanitary reasons, if nothing else. That, and if he's farting constantly, then he's potentially disrupting the other employees and causing an unpleasant work environment.
Probably the best thing they could have done was put him on disability leave until the problem was under control.
After spending a day or so as a Cat 3, Joaquin appears to be back on a strengthening trend. Eyewall Replacement Cycles appear to be a feature solely designed to piss off weather forecasters, don't they?
