Sometimes the MUTCD is not enough: municipalities take to custom designs to get their point across (and the point is usually "slow dowwwwwn").

That's a classic! I have a picture somewhere of that one. It's more like
YOU slow down! With the big finger pointing at you and everything!

Actually, those are in Sunnyvale, CA.
There's another one of these types of signs on Bernardo Ave. It reads "SPEEDING = $87 FINE + Traffic School" (https://goo.gl/maps/wrBnaL9z25q).

Man, if there's anything that annoys me more than residents nagging people for their speed. Here's some useful advice - go bitch to the local traffic engineer about traffic calming.

Maybe some day, someone will actually find a picture of this unicorn. Don't get me wrong, I do believe it was real, but I'm starting to doubt I will ever see it.
Others have asked about this sign before, too. (https://www.aaroads.com/forum/index.php?topic=11021.0)

I get the "Slow Down" part for people who are speeding, but why is the sign also there for people who are not speeding? :spin:

The tricky part of that is that while there are surely pictures out there, the vast majority (if not all) would have been taken with film cameras, so you'd need to find someone who took a picture, remembers taking it, still has either the picture or a negative, knows where it is, and is willing to scan it.

My favorite is this guy at the foot of the Platt Bridge in South Philly:

^ Is this meant to warn of a 6% downgrade of a 6-mile length?
I think a different layout would have been better, and less naggingly. They could put these at however many repetitions are deemed necessary:
6% DOWNGRADE
FOR 6 MILES
xx MILE(S) AHEAD
Graininess is because this is a photo of a photo that appeared in the newspaper.
