We could use a few of those around here, although we have more vandalism-minded deer, since a lot of people report that they hit deer and the deer run off but not before causing vehicle damage.

Another unusual deer warning sign on Vancouver Island in British Columbia.

I believe I only saw one of these on my entire trip out there...

5-6 years ago, I encountered a deer in the middle of the highway north of Mountainburg, AR that had been hit, but survived. Looked like his back legs had been taken out because he tried to run away and kept collapsing.

My wife had a deer run out in front of her while driving a convertible.  She swerved to the side, on someone's front lawn, and hit a telephone pole.

She's an animal lover.  She's not an environmentalist.

So everything turned out ok.  The deer even ran back across the road again to thank her.  Or laugh at her.  We're still not sure which!
