Title: Remaining instances of "SLO"
Post by: Pete from Boston on March 06, 2016, 10:47:34 AM
Just noticed this in Arlington, Mass.:

"SLO" always seemed an odd contraction to me, because you're only saving one letter, even if it is a wide one.

Still, it used to be common.  This is the first I've seen it in years.  Is it still hanging on anywhere else?

"Where are we dear?"

"GOSLO (pronounced as gawslow)."

"GOSLO?  No, silly, it says "GO SLOW."
