But Street View doesn't have 2015 coverage heading south on I-99/US 15. Does anyone know if NY has removed all US 15 signage in the state?
I believe the reassurance shields are signed for both.

Valerie is correct. Last pass through there a month or two ago I noticed that both I-99 and US 15 are signed from I-86 to the Pa. Border

OK, thanks. Since the entirety of US 15 in New York is now redundant with I-99, I suspect the reason US 15 is no longer signed from I-86 is because NYSDOT plans to decommission it... so when they changed the info on the sign bridges, they did so in a way that reflected this future condition. Anyone know if NYSDOT is indeed planning to decommission US 15?

I doubt that the AASHTO will allow them to decommission it till PennDOT submits and gets approval for I-99 along US-15. Then, and only then if NY & PA submit a plan to decommission it will it have a chance IMO.
I drove through there about 3 weeks ago, and the I-86 sign bridges, that were originally changed to show just I-99 South, now have both I-99 and US-15 as greenouts on the BGSs. US-15 was always co-signed w/ I-99's reassurance markers, but now the BGSs reflected the multiplex.
And I still wonder what the delay is in PA submitting I-99 from I-180 northward...

Cool, thanks for the info.

They'd probably like to have a continuous route without a gap, or the need for "TEMP I-99" or "TO I-99" signs along US 220.
Once 99 is fully signed from Williamsport to Corning, US 15 should be decommissioned.
When I was on US 15 southbound in mid January 2015, I only saw I-99 signs, and at the state line, there were "END I-99" signs. The 2014 NYSDOT Traffic Data Report (https://www.dot.ny.gov/divisions/engineering/technical-services/hds-respository/NYSDOT_Traffic_Volume_Report_2014.pdf) (the most recent available) lists it as I-99 (see page 176), but the reference marker column lists 15. I'd say that like in Alanland, US 15 does and does not exist in NY.
